The countdown is on to find the best place to work in the luxury sector, with the deadline drawing near for entries for the Luxury Travel Workplace of the Year category at the TTG Luxury Travel Awards 2024.
To be considered for the shortlist and as the eventual winner, companies will demonstrate clear ways they appreciate and treat their staff, with examples of refreshed or new ways of working; measurement of staff contentment; and inspiring ideas on retention and workplace environment (or outreach support, if homeworking based).
“We want to know about new and improved working practises, how you have built up your teams and how do you ensure a knowledgeable and recharged team? And how have you strived to ensure colleagues feel valued and rewarded?” said April Hutchinson, editor and publisher of TTG Luxury.
“Mental health and general wellbeing remain a priority for many of us, long after the pandemic, so tell us how you support colleagues and make mental health a priority across the business? Finally, TTG aims to encourage a travel industry that is fairer to the people that work in travel by providing caring, inclusive workplaces: we imagine you do too, so hope to see evidence of how companies provide a diverse and inspiring workplace.”
The Luxury Travel Workplace of the Year category was introduced for the first time for the 2023 awards, with Carrier being the first company to scoop the trophy in February.
On winning the inaugural award, Natasha Towey, the operator’s managing director said: “We’ve put a lot of focus on our culture over the last few years. We’re a people business, we’re a human business, and we take great pride in that. And there’s a genuine love at the heart of our business – for what we do and a love for our agent partners. We never take our awards for granted and we work really, really hard to win them, and this one was particularly special for us to win. We really value our people and the win was dedicated to them because without our people, we wouldn’t be who we are today.”
The category is open to any UK or Ireland-based business, including suppliers as well as retailers, and including those that sell direct to consumers, as well as those who sell through the trade, as long as your business focus is luxury travel.
There are 18 categories in total that can be entered for the 2024 awards, with the deadline of Friday 3 November.
The TTG Luxury Travel Awards will take place on 1 March 2024, with the popular afternoon ceremony taking place at Raffles London at The OWO.
“We can’t wait to hear all about how companies have been making a big difference in the sector, and importantly, in the lives of their colleagues, as they lead the way in what it takes to be an inspirational company to work for and create a strong team culture,” added Hutchinson.
Share your success story from the past 12 months to be in with the chance of being named as one of the best luxury agents or suppliers in the sector.
