ITC Travel Group has appointed Cheryl Elliott-Edwards to a newly-created trade team role – its second move to expand the team in a year.
Elliott-Edwards joins the group from Emirates and brings more than 25 years’ industry experience to her new trade partnership executive role (TPE).
She will be responsible for trade relations in ITC’s southern region, with Vicky McGlynn – who took up her TPE role with ITC last March – covering the north.
Elliott-Edwards will report into ITC national trade partnership manager Gary Bates, who – like McGlynn – was promoted to his current role last March.
Together with McGlynn, she will represent ITC’s Inspiring Travel, Regent Holidays, Rainbow Tours and Spectate brands on the road.
ITC said Elliott-Edwards’ appointment was "a direct result of the importance and value ITC and its luxury brand, Inspiring Travel, places on agents and agencies".
Bates said Elliott-Edwards brought a wealth of experience to the role. "Trade partnerships are paramount to our business, and we look forward to continuing strong relationships with our key accounts, as well as nurturing new business."
Elliott-Edwards added: "Having worked in the aviation and luxury travel sectors for more than 25 years... I’m eagerly anticipating the chance to further cultivate existing relationships with agents and to forge new ones."
