Luxpo set for full-day debut at The Berkeley in London this spring

Luxpo, TTG Luxury’s one-to-one meeting event for premium agents and luxury travel brands, is to take place as a full-day event this April.

Returning to The Berkeley following a successful morning-only event last year, Luxpo will now welcome 20 handpicked agents and 20 suppliers on 8 April for an inspiring day of training and meetings.

“We always see great demand for this event from agents and suppliers, and enjoy positive feedback to the nature of Luxpo, so we are very excited to expand this into the new full-day format,” said April Hutchinson, editor and publisher of TTG Luxury.

As well as the meetings, all attendees will enjoy lunch and the hospitality of The Berkeley, while travel advisors will also receive a tour of the hotel, as well as having the opportunity to enjoy a preview of sister property, The Emory, Maybourne Hotel Group’s newest London offering.

Opening in April, The Emory represents Maybourne’s fourth hotel in the capital, joining Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley.

Located next to The Berkeley, The Emory is designed by the late Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour of architectural firm RSHP, and is set to feature a striking “sails” structure looking out over Hyde Park.

Other key features of the all-suite property include its guest-only rooftop with 360-degree view of London, while its nine floors will each showcase the aesthetic of a different designer – including Alexandra Champalimaud, Andre Fu, Pierre Yves Rochon, Remi Tessier and Patricia Urquiola.

“Partnering with one of London’s most beautiful hotels is the perfect fit for this event, and agents will also be in for a treat, as they will be able to get a sneak peek at The Emory,” added Hutchinson. “Once agents have concluded their day of inspiring meetings, they will have the chance to spend time at this new hotel, right next door to The Berkeley, and the latest gem being added to Maybourne’s portfolio.”

Homeworker Elizabeth Ryan, from Midcounties Co-operative’s Personal Travel Agents, said of last year’s Luxpo:  “I found it a really useful event, especially with the blend of companies known to me and those I haven’t used before. With the smaller number of attendees and genuine one-to-ones, I found there was a real opportunity to find out how companies matched up to my own customer demographic and their requirements. It was great to have the opportunity to see around The Berkeley and learn more about the Maybourne sister hotels too.”

Agents will meet with a range of partners at Luxpo on 8 April, including AmaWaterways; Blacklane; British Colonial Nassau; Elite Island Resorts; Exclusive Collection by Louis Hotels; Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt; Maybourne Hotel Group; Quark Expeditions; and Tauck.

Luxury travel advisors will also be able to gain valuable sales and product updates from Australia, Miami and Spain on the day.

Places at the popular event are allocated by the TTG Luxury team based on several factors to ensure only luxury-focused agents meet with partners.
