Mandarin Oriental is inviting guests to enjoy peace and quiet during its Silent Night spa experiences on December 14, which includes a new range of therapies created in partnership with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts.
It will be Mandarin Oriental’s eighth Silent Night, and the first time it has featured Ayurveda inspired therapies and guidance provided by Oberoi.
The annual Silent Night experience is intended to aid guests with quiet contemplation and mindfulness. Talking and music will cease within the spas at 5pm, and several spas will offer complimentary Silent Night themed activities, such as guided meditation and yoga, Reiki energy techniques, deep sleep applications, and acupressure treatment add-ons.
As part of this year’s partnership with Oberoi, Dr Anuradha Mathad, who is responsible for Oberoi’s corporate spa and wellness programming, will share ancient ayurvedic treatments designed to bring guests to a state of ‘Samattva’, or equanimity. Dr Anuradha will highlight Ayurvedic sleep techniques on the Mandarin Oriental website and social channels, and will host a series of Samattva treatments at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park and Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus during December.
Group director of spa and wellness Jeremy McCarthy said: “Amid the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season, the search for stillness and calm is so important, which is why we aim to create a space where people can press the pause button and have some time to think, meditate or just take a break from being inundated with the noise of modern urban life. This annual ritual in our spas serves as an important reminder to incorporate stillness and rest into our busy lives.”
