Maybourne Hotel Group has named the first of its overseas hotels, set to be known as The Maybourne Beverly Hills.
The group – which includes Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley in London – took over the hotel in December, but has only just revealed its new name.
Previously known as the Montage Beverly Hills, the hotel is now owned and fully operated by Maybourne, although still closed during the coronavirus crisis.
“We are excited to have our first property outside of London, and where better than the city of Beverly Hills,” said Paddy McKillen, who runs the luxury hotel group. “We plan to bring some of our inspiration and creative energy to The Maybourne Beverly Hills as well as the legendary service standards that have made our London hotels so successful and much loved.”
The hotel in the high-end enclave of LA currently has 201 rooms, a rooftop pool, spa, three dining options and two bars.
The acquisition of the hotel was said at the time to be part of a global expansion strategy for Maybourne.
