Two new estates have begun welcoming visitors to Richard Branson’s second private Caribbean island, with exclusive buyouts available through Virgin Limited Edition from 1 October.
Moskito Island in the British Virgin Islands is co-owned by Branson and overlooks his original sister island of Necker.
Following 14 years of development, the new Point Estate and the Oasis Estate join the existing 11-bedroom Branson Estate, which opened in 2020.
The nine-room Oasis Estate is perched on the island’s highest point and maximises views and natural light. Its four-storey main house has split-level terraces and multiple bars.
The cliffside eight-bedroom Point Estate incorporates freestanding accommodation, a hub house for entertaining and an open-air dining pavilion overlooking the sea.
“Moskito Island is the newest jewel of the Caribbean; a truly one-of-a-kind escape where visitors can enjoy the luxuries of the most stunning unspoiled surroundings, whilst having the convenience and luxury of a beautiful private home to serve as the centre of it,” said Jon Brown, chief executive of Virgin Limited Edition.
“We wanted to create something exceptionally unique and offer a rental programme unlike any other hospitality experience in the Caribbean, so we are incredibly excited to share this with the world.”
Rates for Moskito Island start from $17,500 per night during low season, based on a four-night minimum stay at Point Estate for up to 16 guests, including a dedicated estate manager, private chef and other staff, all meals, drinks and watersports.
