Nobu Hospitality has unveiled plans to open another hotel in the UK capital next year.
The upmarket hotel brand, which was founded by Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Hollywood movie star Robert De Niro, already operates Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch, which opened in 2017.
The new property, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, will take over the former Radisson Blu property in the West End.
Following a complete refurbishment, the rebranded hotel plans to open in spring 2020 with 239 rooms and suites, alongside a Nobu restaurant, ballroom and meeting spaces.
Trevor Horwell, chief executive Officer of Nobu Hospitality, said: “We are truly proud to announce the launch of Nobu Hotel London Portman Square with our trusted partners, London + Regional Hotels. 2019 is an exciting year of Nobu Hotel openings – from Barcelona to Los Cabos and Chicago.”
Nobu Hospitality has opened its first property in Mexico in the resort of Los Cabos on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.
The 200-room oceanfront Nobu Hotel Los Cabos has been designed to blend Japanese “minimalism” with local Mexican materials.
The hotel’s dining options are provided by a signature Nobu restaurant as well as “organic farm-to-table” specialist Malibu Farm.
The Esencia Wellness spa features 13 treatment rooms plus indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy areas, and a Watsu water massage treatment pool.
The resort also includes four pools with a range of cabanas including four “super” cabanas equipped with a full bathroom, day bed, living area and TV.
Nobu Hotel Los Cabos is located close to the Diamante Cabo San Lucas Resort – home to two championship golf courses, including one designed by the sport's legend and new Masters champion Tiger Woods.
