One&Only has debuted its first ever ‘vertical urban resort’ in Dubai, bringing resort style to one of Dubai’s newest skyscrapers
The brand’s third resort in Dubai, the One&Only One Za’abeel is housed inside the new One Za’abeel building in the heart of Dubai close to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.
The development features two towers linked by a crossbar resembling a letter ‘H’ – currently the world’s longest cantilever level – which forms a glass passage of restaurants and entertainment venues.
In keeping with Dubai’s record-breaking reputation, the hotel’s infinity pool, located on top of the cantilever level, is the longest in the UAE, while the development’s 11 restaurants boast no less than six Michelin-starred chefs.
Among the largest in Dubai, its rooms, suites and Villa One penthouse have smart neutral décor reflecting the urban desert location.
Accommodation options include Corner Suites with 180-degree views of Dubai’s famous skyline, Sanctuary Suites with in-room spa facilities including a massage table, and Creative Suites with the latest AV tech, acoustic panelling and an in-suite cocktail bar.
Together with the Skyline Loft, the Villa One Penthouse is a two-storey space within the tower designed to resemble a signature One&Only beach villa in the sky with an outdoor infinity pool, private cinema, chef and butler service.
The new resort’s multi-national spread of restaurants overseen by a raft of Michelin-recognised chefs including Tetsuya Wakuda and Dylan Jones include Japanese cuisine at Tapasake on the infinity pool level, Indonesian food at Andaliman and French dishes at Aelia. The resort also incorporates a branch of award-winning chef Dabiz Munoz’s StreetXO eatery.
The programme of food, wellness and cultural experiences offered to guests ranges from sunrise yoga and mixology classes to local art and heritage tours.
