Park Hyatt London River Thames is set to open next month, marking the first property for Hyatt’s top-tier luxury brand in the UK.

Located in Nine Elms, the hotel has marketed itself as a triple threat of “light, space and views,” having been designed to optimise its riverside address. Guests will be greeted at reception by Charlie Whinney’s ‘Ebb and Flow’ sculpture, which establishes the water theme that runs throughout the 42-storey building.

There will be 203 rooms, 31 of which are suites, that have been designed to offer a more spacious alternative to many of the city’s more central five-star hotels. Each room includes floor-to-ceiling windows with river and cityscape views, electronic black-out blinds, and marble bathrooms with plush tubs.

The 17th and 18th floors, which are both accessible via a private elevator, are home to the hotel’s ambassador and presidential suites. The latter two options include kitchen facilities, a living area and butler service.

“The opening of Park Hyatt London River Thames is a testament to our continued commitment to expanding our luxury brand offering across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Sustaining this momentum is key to our goal of accommodating guests who are looking for the ultimate indulgence,” Javier Aguila, group president EMEA at Hyatt, told TTG Luxury. “With Park Hyatt London River Thames’ exceptional views, sophisticated design, memorable meeting spaces and second-to-none culinary experiences, we are confident that this hotel will exceed expectations.”

For dining, Park Hyatt London River Thames will offer two restaurants, with The Nine Elms Kitchen and Terrace opening first and serving an international menu that reflects the diversity of the city’s population today. Guests will be welcome to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in this well-lit space, which features an open kitchen and garden patio.

The second restaurant, which has yet to be named, will open in early 2025 and specialise in traditional Cantonese cuisine. A patisserie and florist will also open.

For drinks and light bites, guests can head to the sophisticated lobby with decor nodding to the area’s history as a Rolls Royce factory. Meanwhile, the Tamise wine library will serve up a variety of wines as well as Asian-style afternoon tea.

Park Hyatt London also offers a spacious spa on its first floor, which allows for guests to enjoy natural lighting during their pampering sessions. Its mixed-depth swimming pool is 20x8m, making it one of the largest on the London luxury hotel scene. There will also be six treatment rooms, two saunas and Somadome meditation pods. Other wellness facilities include a fully equipped fitness centre with double-height ceilings, river views and personal training services.

Park Hyatt London River Thames will be the ninth property for Hyatt in London, succeeding the January 2023 opening of Hyatt Regency London Albert Embankment.
