The 147-key Raffles Boston has opened its doors to guests, becoming the only North American outpost of the Raffles Hotels and Resorts brand.
Raffles Boston is located in a 35-storey new-build, offering 147 rooms, including 21 Signature Suites, eight Premier Suites, and a presidential Raffles Suite. The building is next to The University Club and adjacent to Boston’s Back Bay train station, and sits within a block of Copley Square, Trinity Church and luxury shopping at Copley Place.
The hotel’s three-storey Sky Lobby is on the 17th floor, while guestrooms are located on the 6th to 14th floors. The 4th floor is home to a gym, 20-metre indoor pool and the Guerlain Spa at Raffles Boston.
Dining venues include Portuguese restaurant Amar by chef George Mendes, the Long Bar & Terrace – a Paolo Ferrari-designed lounge – and the Speakeasy, offering cocktails and small bites.
Omer Acar, chief executive of Raffles & Orient Express, said: “We are delighted to extend the legendary Raffles brand into the Americas with Raffles Boston. Raffles properties act as vessels for generations of world travellers to explore destinations through the highest level of hospitality and gracious service.
“Boston represents a historic and sophisticated cultural hub in the United States, and we could not imagine a more well-suited city to play host to the Raffles experience for years to come.”
The exterior was designed by The Architectural Team Inc, while hospitality design firm Stonehill Taylor fashioned all hotel rooms and several hotel amenity spaces. The Rockwell Group designed the fitness centre and Spa, as well as the Raffles’ Residences.
