The revamped O2 Beach Club and Spa is reopening as a premium all-inclusive resort on the south coast of Barbados, with a promise to host “as many agents as we can”.
The “soft” launch of the rebranded and repositioned Ocean Two Resort and Residences at Saint Lawrence Gap took place on 1 October, ahead of the official opening on 1 November.
O2 Beach Club & Spa offers 130 rooms and suites in a beachside setting, including a new nine-story 42-suite tower with a rooftop pool and restaurant.
Accommodation is divided into three categories: Club Collection with 18 large ocean view or ocean front rooms; 42 adult-only Luxury Collection Suites and 72 Concierge Collection Suites.
The Luxury Collection Suites include several swim-up suites with direct access to the resort’s river pool from their private patios.
Dining options include both indoor and outdoor venues, as well as a beachside grill, while private dinners on the beach or chef’s table meals can be arranged. There are also seven bars and lounges, plus the Acqua Spa offering treatments around the theme of Wellness through Water.
The resort also offers activities to guests such as a catamaran sunset cruise, 4x4 safaris, deep-sea fishing, horse-riding, scuba diving or golf.
Patricia Affonso-Dass, group general manager of Ocean Hotels Group, said: “We wanted to bring a taste of the island’s west coast luxury to the south coast and are confident that our new O2 Beach Club and Spa will take centre-stage in Barbados’ luxury boutique offering.
“We are really looking forward to working with our agent and trade partners to showcase the new premium all-inclusive and luxury five-star experience of the O2 Beach Club and Spa to the UK consumer as well as hosting as many agents as we can so they can experience our new product for themselves.”
