Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced Sarah Faberge will be the godmother of Seven Seas Grandeur ahead of its launch in December.
The ship will be christened in Miami on 10 December by Sarah Faberge, who is a founding member of The Faberge Heritage Council and great-granddaughter of artist-jeweller and creative Peter Carl Faberge.
The christening ceremony will also feature entertainment from Emmy and Tony award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth. Seven Seas Grandeur will then embark on a three-night Caribbean christening cruise, before returning to Miami for its maiden Caribbean season.
Faberge will host Regent guests onboard Seven Seas Grandeur for a 10-night Mediterranean Spotlight Voyage departing on 1 July 2024. Guests will join small group master-class programmes, special shore-side tours, jewelled egg demonstrations and lectures and screenings.
Andrea DeMarco, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: “Sarah symbolises the shared ethos and distinctive qualities that define our two eminent luxury brands and is therefore the ideal godmother of our newest ship, Seven Seas Grandeur.”
The ship will be home to a one-of-a-kind Faberge egg, known as Journey in Jewels, which will be the first Faberge egg to reside at sea.
