Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ UK sales chief hopes to grow his trade team “in line with capacity” as ultra-luxury line expands its fleet over the next five years.
In April, the line’s parent Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings placed its largest ship order in its history, which included two 850-passenger vessels for Regent.
Speaking to TTG on Tuesday (23 July), Paul Beale discussed Regent’s 2026/27 programme, which doesn’t include the first of the two new ships – Seven Seas Prestige – the line has on order.
However, he confirmed plans to grow his recently expanded eight-person trade sales in the coming years. “I hope to grow the sales team in line with capacity," Beale told TTG. "We’ve got new ships coming in 2026 and 2029."
In April, the line appointed Harriet Smith to a business development support role in the team led by Ed Lang, director of strategic accounts and business development. “We’re seeing that area of the business growing nicely," said Beale.
The 2026/27 programme includes 173 itineraries across Africa, the Middle East, Alaska, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the Caribbean, northern Europe, South America and the South Pacific. Bookings open on Wednesday (24 July).
It also features a 140-night 2027 World Cruise, four Grand Voyages ranging from 60 to 82 nights in length, 16 new ports of call and eight immersive overnight sailings where nearly every port of call is an overnight stay.
The line confirmed there are seven sailings on either Seven Seas Grandeur, Seven Seas Mariner or Seven Seas Voyager departing Southampton.
In addition, guests can enjoy a 5% discount when they book two or more voyages between 24 July and 7 August 2024. They can choose any sailings departing in 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027.
The line’s president Andrea DeMarco hosted a webinar focusing on the new programme for consumers and agents last week. Agents can watch the webinar again via this link.
