Rocco Forte Hotels is to launch Irene Forte Spas at four of the group’s properties in Italy from 1 April.
The spas are being created following the success of Irene Forte Skincare, which was founded by the daughter of Sir Rocco Forte. The skincare brand has sustainability as one of its primary objectives, including the achievement of B Corp certification.
Irene Forte Spas will open next month at two resorts in Sicily, Villa Igiea in Palermo and Verdura Resort, as well as Masseria Torre Maizza in Puglia and Rome’s Hotel de la Ville. Each spa will have its own “unique and distinctive experience” based on their location within Italy.
Treatments at the new spas are being inspired by the “the essence of Mediterranean wellness” and the hotel’s locality – such as the Etna Age-Defying Facial, which uses hot and cold volcanic stones from Sicily’s Mount Etna.
The spa operator has also partnered with the Amethyst Trust to provide therapies for those living with and recovering from cancer.
The spas are also working with the Sustainable Spa Association to ensure their operations are as environmentally friendly as possible. This includes recycling all professional products through a partnership with First Mile and water being supplied by fellow B Corp-certified company Wami.
The Italian heritage of Irene Forte Spas will be marked by the ringing of Burgio Bells, which have been made in Sicily for centuries, at the start and finish of every treatment.
