Scenic Eclipse is set to resume sailings in Antarctica from 6 January 2022, after an almost two-year hiatus.
To mark the return, Scenic is offering a complimentary one-way business class flight upgrade with British Airways on selected voyages departing in January, February and March 2022. New bookings will also benefit from savings of up to 20%.
A 16-day "Antarctica in Depth" voyage departs from Ushuaia in Argentina and gives guests the opportunity to explore the Antarctic Peninsula.
Highlights vary, depending on weather conditions, and may include navigating the 11-kilometre-long Lemaire Channel, the chance to visit a working scientific base, exploring an abandoned whaling station, climbing to the rim of a volcanic crater, and the opportunity to cross the Antarctic Circle.
Scenic Group chief operating officer Rob Voss said the line’s crew and staff are "so delighted to be able to welcome guests back onboard".
"Besides the opportunity to be one of the first cruise lines to return to Antarctica after nearly two years of no visitors, we are also excited to showcase several enhancements onboard Scenic Eclipse – a number of which were driven by our guests’ feedback," he added.
