The lavish property will be Shangri-La’s 108th hotel when it opens for business in the Cambodian capital at the end of this year.
Shangri-La Phnom Penh will open at the end of this year, marking the Cambodia debut for the luxury hospitality group.
Sharing its address with The Peak, a 55-storey premium mixed development tower, the hotel will have 303 guest rooms, suites and apartments ranging in size from 45-135 square metres.
The interiors of the accommodation have been inspired by French art deco and Khmer arts, as demonstrated in the abundance of natural stone and warm wooden accents.
The Shangri-La Phnom Penh will also have five restaurants, including the group’s signature Shang Palace, where Malaysian cuisine with Cantonese origins will be served by chef Freeze Ng Kok Leon.
Other dining options include the Kommune, where international dishes anchored by local flavours can be enjoyed, the Mekong Lounge, and The Atelier, with its freshly brewed coffee, pastries and light snacks.
On the hotel’s 51st floor, guests will find a health club and spa offering a “wide array of nurturing treatments” and state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment.
A large ballroom spanning 1,150sqm, as well as five flexible connected meeting rooms and a boardroom, are also available for functions and events.
Nearby attractions include The PeAk Luxury Mall, the Royal Palace and the island of Koh Pich. Room rates for Shangri-La Phnom Penh are yet to be confirmed.
