The co-founder of leading trends and forecasting firm The Future Laboratory is to headline the TTG Luxury Travel Summit, offering insight on how consumer changes are impacting luxury travel.
Chris Sanderson co-founded The Future Laboratory in 2000 with Martin Raymond and the company is now seen as one of the world’s most renowned futures consultancies, using trend forecasting, consumer insight, foresight, brand strategy and innovation to help create future-proof organisations.
Headlining the event with a session called Luxury travel at a time of transformation, Sanderson will present on the trends impacting on wider consumer behaviour, and what these mean for luxury travel and hospitality businesses.
“Chris is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most respected trend analysts and forecasters and I cannot wait for this session, and I am sure delegates will feel the same,” said April Hutchinson, editor and publisher of TTG Luxury.
“The premise of the session is that in a world where current and future affluent populations are becoming purpose-driven collectors of experiences that enhance their lives, rather than consumers of here-today, gone-tomorrow goods, how can travel and hospitality brands forge a place in their lifestyle in a sustainable and meaningful way? I’m thrilled he can join us and add to an already fascinating line-up of speakers,” she added.
Chris Sanderson is responsible for delivering The Future Laboratory’s extensive global roster of conferences, media events and Trend Briefings, which he presents in London, New York, Sydney, Melbourne and worldwide.
Clients who have booked one of his inspirational keynotes include luxury group Kering, the European Travel Commission, Retail Week, Selfridges, Marks & Spencer, Chanel, Harrods, Aldo, H&M, General Motors, BBDO, Design Hotels, Condé Nast Media and Omnicom.
He also presented Channel 4 TV’s five-part series Home of the Future and is a SuperBoard member of The British Fashion Council’s Fashion Trust.
Some of The Future Laboratory’s most recent work includes partner presentations with the Modern Affluence Exchange Summit, the BEAM Summit in South Tirol and a joint report with Intrepid Travel, A Sustainable Future for Travel: From Crisis to Transformation.
“I believe delegates will be in for a mind-scratching treat as this master of creative thinking rooted in observance of deeply-shifting societal and consumer trends take us on a thought-provoking journey that will hopefully leave people pondering how they address future growth potential and analyse who their clients are, and their motivation for travel,” said Hutchinson.
