The Hoxton is expanding its European network by opening a new property in Italy next autumn.
Situated in Salario, The Hoxton in Rome will be in a 1970s building close to the landscaped garden Villa Borghese, and have 192 guest rooms, a coffee bar and takeaway counter, a restaurant, and an outdoor terrace.
It will be designed with parquet flooring and lacquered timbers in reference to classic mid-century Italy.
Each room will feature geometric timber wall panelling, a statement headboard and bespoke brass light fittings, while some of the larger rooms will include original Murano glass chandeliers.
The Rome hotel will be the brand’s 10th property overall, and the sixth in Europe.
In 2019 alone, The Hoxton opened hotels in Chicago, London (Southwark) and LA. It also expanded the brand’s co-working space concept, Working From.
