River cruise operator Uniworld has unveiled a new 43-day itinerary travelling across Egypt, India and south-east Asia.
The trip, which will run in January and February 2023, will see passengers combine cruises on three of Uniworld’s Super Ships with land tours to explore the Nile in Egypt, India’s Golden Triangle and Ganges, as well as Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mekong river.
Chris Townson, UK managing director at Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, said: “We are extremely excited to announce our World’s Most Exotic River and Land Journey, exclusively for the UK market.
“It’s the ultimate exotic river and land experience at an unparalleled level of luxury, offering the very best accommodation, cuisine and immersive small-group experiences available.”
The trip starts with five nights in Cairo at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo followed by a one-week Nile cruise on Super Ship Sphinx to discover classical Egypt.
Guests then fly on to India to visit the Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, before boarding a river cruise on the Ganges onboard Ganges Voyager II.
The final part of the voyage combines Vietnam, Cambodia and a seven-night cruise on Mekong Jewel, including an excursion to see the Angkor Wat temple complex at Siem Reap.
The 43-day journey runs from 7 January to 18 February 2023 with prices from £18,885pp, based on two people sharing. Although there is an early booking discount of 10% available until 31 May.
Uniworld’s president Ellen Bettridge urged agents to “serve up something unique” and “encourage customers to dream” during Clia’s RiverView conference in Budapest on Sunday (20 March).
