W Hotels to double Italy presence with two new properties

The Marriott-owned brand has signed to open W Milan – Duomo and W Naples, which will supplement the recently opened W Rome and the forthcoming W Florence, due to open in the Tuscan city next year.

W Milan – Duomo will be based in a city centre building which was originally a bank dating from the 1920s. The hotel will offer 166 rooms and 36 suites, including the Extreme Wow Suite, which is the brand’s take on a presidential suite.

Attractions will include a rooftop bar and restaurant with outdoor terraces giving panoramic views of Milan. There will also be a spa with indoor pool and fitness centre.

Meanwhile, W Naples will be based in a building in the historic Piazza del Municipio square. The hotel will have 78 rooms including 17 suites, some with private terraces. Public areas will include a lounge, restaurant and fitness centre.
