A-Rosa River Cruises is to put its entire fleet on sale in the UK next year, adding five ships currently aimed at the German market.
All 13 ships, including A-Rosa Sena, which launches in May 2022, will be available to the UK market, giving agents more departure dates and availability to sell. Currently, seven ships serve the international market and five operate with German as their main language.
The UK office is also recruiting for two regional sales managers to drive trade awareness.
The river cruise operator has put its 2023 programme on sale with an enhanced all-inclusive offer. The brand said this put “greater emphasis on flexibility, wellness, service and sustainability”.
Full details will be announced in spring 2022. However, it said guests can expect more flexibility when dining with the choice of buffet or table service plus guest chefs and an included evening dinner away from the ship. Free room service will be available in every cabin grade.
“Destination immersion” will be a key element, with the chance to meet winemakers, chefs and artists. Bikes and e-bikes will be made available for guests to use independently, while twice a week local entertainers will come on board to perform.
A new A-Rosa App will also be launched, including daily menus and excursion bookings.
The enhancements will be introduced on the French rivers and on A-Rosa Sena on the Rhine in 2022, before they go fleet-wide in 2023.
Lucia Rowe, A-Rosa UK and Ireland managing director, said: “Our flexible approach is getting a refresh. We’re using our 20 years of expertise to take our product to the next level and make it even more immersive and ready for the next generation of river cruisers.
"Having a fully international fleet opens up more dates and availability for agents and our operator partners here in the UK to sell.”
