A-Rosa River Cruises has further relaxed its health and hygiene protocols across its fleet as the number of Covid-19 cases continues to decrease and more countries lift protective measures.
Passengers will no longer be required to wear a mask onboard, take a pre-departure Covid-19 antigen test or fill out a health questionnaire. Testing will still be carried out on Douro itineraries.
Measures such as extended cleaning and disinfection protocols remain in place to ensure hygiene standards are upheld.
Lucia Rowe, managing director of A-Rosa River Cruises UK and Ireland, said the protocols have been relaxed following "careful consideration by our experienced team".
"We continued with some measures after the legal requirement to do so was removed by various destinations, as we felt it was important to do so at the time," she added.
As some of the countries A-Rosa’s ships sail through still require different documentation for entry, all passengers over the age of 12 will continue to need proof of full vaccination (no less than nine months after second dose or proof of a booster jab) or proof of recovery (from 29 days to six months after positive PCR test). Children under the age of 12 no longer require any documentation.
"Our health and hygiene protocols, which we developed at the start of the pandemic, have allowed us to sail over the last two years and keep everyone safe whilst doing so. This of course, remains our core focus," Rowe concluded.
