Abta’s head of financial protection John de Vial is undertaking a 236-kilometre challenge this week, which combines cycling, jogging and walking.
De Vial has set himself a new challenge, which he calls a “crazy unofficial Abta LifeLine triathlon”, as he aims to raise more than £1,000 for the association’s charity.
He has already completed the London to Brighton Cycle Ride last weekend, as well as doing his daily commute by jogging throughout this week.
His final task will be taking part in the Thames Path Challenge this weekend (September 12-13), which covers 100 kilometres from Putney Bridge to Henley, which is the equivalent of more than two marathons.
