Aer Lingus will axe its Dublin-Gatwick route at the end of March, citing a review of the route’s performance.
The Irish flag carrier, which currently operates several services a day between the two airports, has confirmed it will cease flying the route at the end of March.
Customers booked on services up to 31 March will not be affected. Those with bookings beyond the end of March will be contacted by Aer Lingus to discuss alternative flight arrangements.
Ryanair has stepped in to offer Aer Lingus passengers affected by the closure an alternative, highlighting its up to eight daily Dublin-Gatwick services.
