Shearings has opened bookings for its 2023 UK breaks, claiming recent air travel disruption has fuelled demand for domestic holidays.
The coach tour specialist said the “huge popularity” for UK-based trips during the pandemic was “showing no sign of slowing down” with more than 200 itineraries on offer and new 2023 product due to launch in the coming weeks.
Leger Shearings Group’s head of retail sales, Ashley Dellow, said airport delays and flight cancellations in recent weeks had “further fuelled the demand”, warning agents that while summer capacity was being expanded “places are filling fast”.
“Agents should encourage their customers to start planning their future UK breaks now as demand will again be high in 2023,” he said.
Shearing’s 2023 UK programme leads in at £229pp for a five-day trip and includes itineraries to see Scarborough Fair Collection’s vintage cars and an Eastbourne, Castles and Gardens tour.
A selection of tours feature new optional excursions for next year, including Flamborough Head, Bridlington and Beverley on Shearing’s Scarborough, Whitby and York holiday, as well as Grange-over-Sands on the operator’s Windermere and the Lake District break.
