AmaWaterways shifts to flight-inclusive pricing following agent feedback

The new format was launched in response to agent feedback that flight-inclusive packages would save time as they provide the full price to the consumer before confirmation.

Previously, flights were reserved through AmaWaterways as an optional add-on; now all prices will be quoted with return airfares from London or Manchester and will include overseas transfers between airport and ship. However, cruise-only options, regional departures and business class upgrades will be available on request.
 
“Our mission is to make it as convenient and efficient as possible for agents to reserve an AmaWaterways river cruise for their clients,” said Jamie Loizou, managing director AmaWaterways UK.

“In the majority of cases, our guests want to book flights along with their river cruise, and with the new flight-inclusive pricing it is less time consuming for agents to book a package and they have a complete picture of their river cruise holiday price before confirming the booking.” 
 
As well as including flights for its European river cruises, the brand is also packaging flights for long-haul journeys on the Mekong River, the Nile and Chobe rivers in Africa and the Magdalena River in Colombia. Arrangements are made under AmaWaterways’ existing Atol.
 
Prices for flight-inclusive river cruise packages start from £1,975pp for the five-night Majestic Capitals of the Danube from Vienna to Budapest, departing 16 December 2024.
