Ambassador Cruise Line is set to drop all Covid-19 pre-boarding requirements later this week.
The line confirmed that as of Thursday (22 June), all guests – regardless of vaccination status – will no longer need to provide evidence of vaccination against the virus or a negative test.
Ambassador said it was currently updating its systems to reflect the change and will be advising all guests due to travel of the updated protocols via email.
It advised Covid requirements will differ for some itineraries due to entry requirements from host countries, such as Ambience’s 2024 Grand Round the Word Cruise and Ambition’s 2024 Highlights of Brazil and West Indies Adventure.
A spokesperson for the line said: "Although many of the restrictions have now been lifted, we continue to recommend that guests travelling with us have two doses of a UK government approved vaccine.
"Although they are not required to take a lateral flow test before sailing with us, guests displaying Covid-19 symptoms within 72 hours of departure are encouraged to take a test at home as a courtesy to their fellow travellers."
