American Airlines will offer its “biggest-ever” summer schedule from Heathrow this year, with 26 daily flights from April.
More frequencies to Los Angeles and Charlotte have been added, with three flights a day to each of the two hubs.
In all, American will serve 11 gateways from London, claiming to be the biggest US carrier at Heathrow.
“Travel to and from the US and England is increasing in popularity, and we are thrilled to be able to cater to the growing demand from passengers,” said Rhett Workman, American’s managing director – strategic performance and UK operations.
This summer, the carrier will offer four flights a day to JFK, Chicago and its home hub of Dallas-Fort Worth. Miami will be served twice daily, as will Philadelphia.
There will also be daily services to Boston, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham and Seattle.
