Audley Travel has responded to an uptick in demand for beach holidays by adding two new properties to its Mexico offering.
The move comes after recent research from YouGov found 44% Brits intend to take a beach holiday in the next 12 months, with the tailor-made operator reporting a jump of 26% in bookings for beachside properties.
The additions include LunArena Boutique Beach Hotel in the fishing village of El Cuyo, which has four rooms and an onsite restaurant offering a fusion of Mexican and Italian cuisine. A 10-day trip to the country with five nights at LunArena costs £4,950pp.
Meanwhile, Casa del Jaguar, an all-suites luxury property in Isla Mujeres’ Playa Norte, was redesigned and reopened in January. Accommodation is in beachfront junior suites, family suites and master suites. A 10-day trip to Mexico including five nights at Casa del Jaguar costs from £6,600pp.
Alex Bentley, head of product for Audley Travel, said: "Traditionally our clients have stayed in Tulum for the beach element of their trip. These new additions to the programme give more choice for travellers who want to relax somewhere new, away from the busier areas."
Audley Travel recently upped its trade focus with the launch of its first-ever loyalty scheme for "high-performing" agents.
