Audley Travel has made further steps towards a more agent-friendly approach with the launch of a digital magazine.
Audley, which has traditionally been mainly direct-sell, aims to work more with agents to offer tailor-made itineraries and appointed Greg Thurston as trade sales manager from Cox & Kings in January.
The new magazine, Adventures & Escapes, is offered in consumer and trade-facing format.
Audley said: “All call to actions are to ‘contact your local independent travel agent’, instead of the Audley website or reservations.
“It is in a digital flipbook format so that agents can easily host it on their website, feature it on an email or share it on social media.”
The change towards more trade sales follows the appointment of former Tui boss Nick Longman in late 2018.
Adventures & Escapes features itineraries covering all the regions Audley operates to and suggests themed experiences to inspire travellers.
Thurston said: “It has been our ambition for a while now to provide trade-tailored marketing, and we are delighted to be able to deliver this with our inspirational Adventures & Escapes digital magazine. We hope agents find it useful in helping their clients find their ideal trip for 2021.”
The digital magazine will be available from 9 November on the operator’s agents’ Facebook group at facebook.com/groups/audleyagentsuk.
