Audley Travel has made "strong progress" against its 2022 environmental social governance (ESG) targets, achieving 33 of its 36 goals.
Focus on the remaining three, the company said, will carry over into 2023.
The ESG Framework identifies five areas – the environment, workplace, communities, market place and governance – which Audley will look to improve on.
Last year, Audley continued to review its offering to identify sustainable product by adding 133 accommodation and experiences meeting the operator’s sustainability criteria.
Meanwhile, employees dedicated more than 2,296 hours to volunteering last year with 57% of staff donating at least half a day.
The company also ran two education sessions in London and Witney, as well as two in Boston reaching 112 students from populations historically "shut out" of the industry.
Audley’s long-term carbon reduction work continues, with the operator calculating the carbon footprints of clients’ trips.
Working with carbon reduction consultant ecollective, Audley found 98.4% of its total carbon footprint comes from Scope 3 emissions and roughly 90% of total emissions come from client travel.
Heather Magnussen, responsible travel and sustainability manager at Audley Travel, said: "Responsible travel has always been part of Audley’s DNA and we remain committed to preserving and restoring the environments and communities our clients visit."
