Aurora Expeditions’ Greg Mortimer has made its debut in the British Isles after it embarked on a 14-day voyage of Ireland’s west coast.
The voyage marks the company’s first-ever sailing to Ireland and first visit to the region for the expedition vessel.
Guests sailed from Dublin and will stop at Donegal’s Inishowen Peninsula and Tory Island, Sligo, Connemara, Dingle Peninsula and The Skelligs.
Following Ireland, Greg Mortimer will continue its debut season in the region with a Wild Scotland voyage from Troon before beginning its next voyage in Scotland and sailing north to Jan Mayen and Svalbard for the beginning of Aurora’s Arctic 2022 season.
Jos Dewing, Aurora Expeditions’ managing director UK, said: "It’s an incredibly exciting occasion to welcome the Greg Mortimer to the region and offer our UK and Ireland expeditioners the opportunity to experience these important close-to-home, yet remote and seldom explored destinations.
"It’s also a fantastic opportunity to welcome many of our valued trade partners onboard to see the ship, meet our exceptional expedition team and experience the Aurora difference."
