Barrhead Travel has seen a massive surge in demand from Rangers fans wanting to book travel to the football team’s Europa League final in Seville later this month.
Glasgow-based Rangers will play in the final against German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the Spanish city on 18 May.
Jacqueline Dobson, president of Barrhead Travel, said the Scottish agency chain had been “inundated” with overnight enquiries from Rangers fans after the team reached the final on Thursday (5 May) evening when they beat another German club, RB Leipzig.
“We’re drawing on all of our key suppliers to get the best value offers ready for those intending to travel,” said Dobson.
“As demand is exceptionally high for Seville, we’re being creative with our packages and have offers available into the surrounding areas such as Malaga and Faro which will allow easy access into Seville.”
Dobson said that they expected demand from Rangers fans to travel to Seville for the final to continue rising in the coming days.
“We’re therefore looking at what else we can do for our customers: one possibility is chartering flights and we are currently pursuing this as an option,” she added.
“Anyone looking to travel to Seville should ensure they book with a reputable travel agent to guarantee full financial protection and certainty on their booking.”
