Barrhead promotes Karen Musgrave to newly-created role
Will PayneBarrhead Travel has promoted Karen Musgrave to head of PR and communications.
Musgrave, who was part of TTG 30 Under 30’s Class of 2021, will lead internal and external communications as well as steering ongoing company developments in sustainability.
She has been with Barrhead Travel for seven years and started with the business as a marketing executive before being promoted to PR and communications manager.
In 2019, Musgrave undertook responsibility for heading UK PR for parent company, Internova Travel Group - a role that will carry into her newly appointed position.
She said even though the pandemic has tested her "professionally and personally", it has also reaffirmed that travel is "unlike any other industry".
"I feel very fortunate to be in such a rewarding role where my career is also my passion," she added.
"I am excited that the next step in my career falls in line with the next chapter for travel. The tide is turning, and I look forward to fresh challenges and opportunities as the world, finally, reopens."
