Barrhead Travel has enhanced its employee wellbeing commitment by doubling its mental health first aid team and signing the Wellbeing of Women Menopause Pledge.
An additional six employees completed their FAA Level 3 in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health this week, bringing its qualified team of first aiders to eleven across the business.
The group were trained by one of Barrhead Travel’s in house trainers who qualified as a registered mental health first aid instructor last year in line with the group’s vision to extend mental health support and training for colleagues.
The travel agency group has also this month confirmed its official commitment to the Wellbeing of Women Menopause Pledge to create a supportive, positive and open culture surrounding the menopause.
Jacqueline Dobson, president of Barrhead Travel, said: "Looking after our employees is a top priority, so making sure that we are proactively putting resources in place to provide a supportive and inclusive culture is essential.
"Investing in our people, such as our inhouse trainer who is now a qualified Mental Health instructor, also means we can accelerate our wellbeing programmes internally and deliver training that is meaningful and tailored for our colleagues."
