Malta specialist Belleair Holidays has thanked its customers for their support over the past more than 40 years and will stop selling holidays from Monday (31 October).
The operator confirmed its plans to close in a statement titled "time to say goodbye" posted to its website at the weekend, which also paid tribute to its employees and associates.
Belleair’s Atol was held by Crownshield Travel, which also operated the Belleair Cruises, Chevron Air Holidays, Chevron Cruises and Malta Direct brands. It was licensed to carry 1,500 Atol-protected passengers.
"After 40 years, the time has come to call it a day," read the statement, which also ran on the Chevron and Malta Direct websites. "We will stop selling holidays after 31 October 2022.
“We thank all our customers for giving us this opportunity to arrange their holidays, we truly shared many amazing journeys together. We also thank our employees and associates – it would not have been possible without you."
