Blue Bay Travel is celebrating a record-breaking May after setting new daily, weekly and monthly sales records for online bookings.
The agency smashed its May target for online bookings by more than 25% following a concerted effort to drive more business through its websites.
According to Blue Bay, online bookings have more than doubled during the first six months of 2019 compared to the same period last year.
Blue Bay’s call centre operation also saw significant growth last month, with overall sales revenue up 18%, which it said “bucked reports of an industry-wide slump”.
“Online booking growth has been driven by informed and cohesive marketing strategy to ensure holidaymakers can interact with Blue Bay Travel in whichever way best suits their individual needs,” said the agency.
“Thanks to their in-house development and marketing teams, the websites act as the foundation for online bookers to obtain all relevant holiday details at the point of booking.
“This creates a sense of confidence and security, particularly for those holidaymakers who may never have experienced the Blue Bay Travel brand before.”
Blue Bay added the majority of those booking during May were new to the brand.
“As growing the number of online bookings was a major goal this year, we are thrilled to be consistently hitting these targets,” said managing director Maxine Rowland.
“Our intention for the second half of 2019 is to continue to develop the journey in line with customer requirements and expand our product range for both existing and new holidaymakers.”
