Brazil has dropped all its remaining Covid-19 entry restrictions, more than three years on from the start of the pandemic.
All passengers arriving in the Latin American destination will no longer need to show proof of a Covid-19 vaccination or recovery from the virus. Travellers will also no longer be required to provide evidence of a negative PCR or antigen test to gain entry.
In an updated travel advisory, the UK Foreign Office said: "If you think you have Covid-19 symptoms, you should self isolate for 14 days. You should only go to hospital if you are feeling breathless."
The move comes ahead of Virgin Atlantic’s long-awaited new route to Sao Paulo from Heathrow, which is due to launch next summer, and Cunard’s return to South America for the first time in five years.
