Seabourn’s Tony Roberts has announced he will leave the cruise sector after 23 years.
Roberts, who will step down from his role as vice-president global commercial operations, guest services and head of UK and Europe for Seabourn in April, will take up a new career opportunity outside of the cruise sector, the line confirmed.
Roberts later confirmed on Twitter he was taking up a new role with Bourne Leisure-owned Warner Leisure Hotels. Seabourn UK and Europe vice-president Lynn Narraway will continue to lead the Seabourn business in the UK and Europe.
Roberts will work closely with the Seabourn leadership team over the next two months to help identify the right organisational structure moving forward.
He joined Carnival Group 23 years ago as a management accountant in the P&O Cruises finance team, before moving to customer services, taking on additional responsibility for business development and international sales.
After two years in the IT department, Roberts joined the Princess Cruises team and was chair of Clia UK and Ireland for three years.
