British Airways flights are disrupted this morning after it was forced to ground a number due to depart the US on Monday evening (19 December) due to a "technical issue".
The disruption means there will be knock-on effects with aircraft and crews in the wrong place to resume schedules. This will affect flights across BA’s network, not just to the US.
Heathrow schedules show BA’s 10.45 and 11.25 departures to New York are cancelled, together with those to Washington, Denver, Boston and Tokyo. This morning’s Chicago service is also delayed.
A spokesperson told TTG: “Our teams have now resolved a temporary issue that affected some of our long-haul flight planning systems overnight, which resulted in delays to our schedule.
“We’re sorry for the disruption caused to our customers’ travel plans.”
