Byron Davis joins Wendy Wu Tours as new southern BDM

Davis joins the Asia specialist from South African Tourism where he was the tourist board’s trade training specialist.
He started his career in travel with STA Travel before joining G Adventures as BDM and later account manager. He has since held roles with Cox & Kings and Booking.com.
In his new post, Davis will be tasked with enhancing agent knowledge of Wendy Wu’s specialty tours to destinations such as Saudi Arabia and South Africa, as well as its new Christmas and rail collections.
He will also aim to extend Wendy Wu’s training focus with its agent partners.
Gary King, Wendy Wu Tours head of trade sales, hailed Davis’s appointment "a gamechanger" for its trade relations.
"His track record in forging meaningful partnerships is second to none," said King. "We are excited to see him apply his innovative thinking and strategic vision to empower travel agents, enhancing their ability to offer unparalleled travel experiences to customers."
Davis added: "My focus will be on nurturing our relationship with travel agents, providing them with robust support and training to ensure they succeed.
"A key focus will be enhancing agent knowledge on our new specialty tours, including the wonders of Saudi Arabia, the vibrant culture of South Africa, as well as the new Christmas collection, and the forthcoming epic journeys within the new rail collection."
