The CAA has extended its deadline for feedback on its proposed changes to the Atol scheme.
A call for evidence seeking views on the likely impact of its proposals in their current form had been due to close of Friday (24 March).
However, the CAA has given the industry another week to make its voice heard on the present trajectory of the reforms. The deadline is now Friday 31 March, which coincides with the spring Atol renewal window.
The CAA has already stressed any changes to the scheme are unlikely to take affect for another year, and while be introduced on a phased basis.
Key ambitions include introducing some form of segregation of customer funds, and potentially introducing a variable Atol Protection Contribution.
Through its call for evidence, the CAA says it is aiming to establish whether it has identified and fully understood the range and magnitude of the impact of each aspect of reform on different stakeholders, and that its methodology for assessing this robust, reasonable and objectively justifiable.
