Carnival Corporation has been given a “perfect score” by the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.
The index rates US companies on their treatment of LGBTQ consumers, investors and employees, and this is the second year running Carnival Corporation has achieved 100 marks.
It is also the second consecutive year Carnival Corporation has been named one of the best places to work for LGBTQ equality by HRC.
The company’s brands include Carnival Cruise Line, Cunard, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Seabourn.
Jerry Montgomery, chief human resources officer for Carnival Corporation, said: “Being recognised by the largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in the US underscores our ongoing commitment to equality, inclusion and diversity.
“This perfect score reflects our efforts to promote a positive work environment for our more than 120,000 employees from over 100 countries that work with great passion to provide extraordinary vacation experiences for our guests.
“Carnival Corporation actively supports equality, diversity and inclusion – a commitment that not only is a core value, but also promotes a productive environment for innovation and leadership that helps provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
