Luxury operator Carrier will not offer Black Friday deals this year, but instead donate all profits made on Friday (26 November) to education charity Professors Without Borders (PROWIBO).
The company said it was "not the biggest fan of Black Friday", as it takes time to create tailored holidays for each client.
Instead, it will donate all profits made on Friday (26 November) to its charity partner PROWIBO, an educational organisation which aims to facilitate international teacher mobility and provide global students with a "dedicated, professional and inspiring" learning environment.
As a small organisation, travel costs are a limiting factor when it comes to sending PROWIBO’s volunteer lecturers around the globe.
Carrier’s goal is to cover these costs in full in 2022. Money raised will help to widen the charity’s reach and support their goals to offer more summer schools to institutions.
A spokesperson for Carrier said: "Carrier is passionate about increasing knowledge of the world and PROWIBO’s philosophy is to champion knowledge around the world.
"Their ambition is to create a global community of academics and professionals to share their expertise with students everywhere."
