Celebrity Cruises has revealed that Celebrity Apex will be based in Southampton for the summer 2025 season.
The move means the 2,910-passenger ship will operate ex-UK for two consecutive summers.
Confirmation came on Thursday (16 November) as Celebrity put its 2025/26 programme on sale, which features more Arctic Circle and Norwegian fjords sailings than previous ex-UK programmes.
Meanwhile, as yet-to-launch Celebrity Xcel will operate seven-night Caribbean sailings from Fort Lauderdale starting November 2025.
Sister ship Celebrity Beyond will offer year-round Caribbean sailings from Miami, while Celebrity Ascent – which is due to launch next month – will operate itineraries out of Barcelona and Rome during the summer.
The sailings on Celebrity Xcel and Celebrity Beyond will go on sale on 5 December.
The line also confirmed it would visit three maiden ports – Bar, Montenegro; Trondheim, Norway, and Djupivogur, Iceland – during the season.
Elsewhere, Celebrity Silhouette will offer a mini-season of four new seven-night sailings from Reykjavik around Iceland in July and August 2025.
Celebrity Cruises has launched a new trade incentive to coincide with its Black Friday sale from 16 November to 5 December. Agents can earn up to £40 per booking, doubling their rewards on every new booking they make.
In addition, agents’ customers can receive up to 75% off the second guests, plus $600 onboard credit per cabin for almost all itineraries sailing before April 2025.
Claire Stirrup, Celebrity Cruises senior sales director, said: “It is pivotal for us to ensure our travel partners feel motivated and supported by our brand, during what is a crucial time for bookings as we head closer to wave.
"We want to show our thanks to agents for their continued loyalty and hard work, by giving them the chance to double their points and earn bigger and better Celebrity Rewards than ever before, during what will be a highly-competitive Black Friday booking period."
