Celebrity Cruises has pledged £10,000 to Abta LifeLine in recognition of the "huge role" travel agents and trade partners have played in the cruise industry’s recovery from Covid-19.
The Celebrity Loves Agents campaign will see the luxury cruise brand also donate a further £1 for every agent booking made throughout January claimed via Celebrity Rewards.
Abta LifeLine, Abta’s charity arm, was created in 1988 to provide practical, financial, and emotional assistance to travel industry colleagues.
Jo Rzymowska, vice-president and managing director, EMEA for Celebrity Cruises, said the line feels "very privileged" to be working alongside the charity in supporting the "incredible work they do to help families in our industry during times of need".
"Our donation and the £1 per travel agent booking scheme running this January will help further this important cause and is given in grateful recognition of all of those who supported us as we returned to the water last year," she added.
Furthermore, with every new booking made with Celebrity on any sailing year from 2021 through to 2023, agents will earn £10/€12 for each balcony and concierge stateroom.
