Social enterprise Charitable Travel has become the latest member of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) in the UK and Ireland.
The new business, set up by former Funway managing director Melissa Tilling, becomes Pata’s 26th member in the UK and Ireland.
Other new members to join Pata are Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket, Thailand and hotel group Santrian Resorts and Villas.
Chris Crampton, Pata’s UK and Ireland chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome new members, especially during these uncertain times.
“Our latest member, Charitable Travel, provides a particularly unique offering which we believe will really excite and benefit our members and their customers."
Charitable Travel’s Tilling added: “Pata offers a great platform for engagement with member destinations, tour operators, hoteliers and other commercial suppliers to share our social purpose and to encourage increased activity with and about Charitable Travel to enhance the delivery of our social purpose.“
Meanwhile, Pata is in discussions about holding its annual Taste of Pata event virtually this year due to the pandemic.
