Club Med has seen its winter programme sales surge by almost one-third with French ski resorts continuing to be the most popular option for UK customers.
The resort operator said its winter 2017/18 bookings had increased 31% year-on-year, which is on the back of a record year in 2016/17 when sales rose by 10%.
Val d’Isere in France is the most popular resort for UK customers with bookings up by 62% for the forthcoming winter season, followed by Avoriaz (+47%), Tignes (+41%) and Cervinia in Italy (+40%).
Estelle Giraudeau, managing director of Club Med UK and Scandinavia, said: “Our customers see the value in all-inclusive ski holidays with everything included and paid for upfront.
“This also protects customers against ever-fluctuating exchange rates and hidden costs with the simple security of a low deposit
“The 2017/2018 results to date lay strong foundations ahead of two of our most exciting ski resort openings to date.”
Club Med is adding to its winter portfolio with two new properties opening this season - Grand Massif Samoens Morillon in France next month, as well as a second resort in Japan at Tomamu in December.
