Cruise specialist Cruiseco is to cease operations in the UK.
The business, headquartered in Australia, stopped taking bookings yesterday (May 30) and said it would be closing its Warwick office by June 13.
Cruiseco, which runs cruising.co.uk and manages a consortium of more than 155 UK agent members, said it was currently “servicing existing bookings only”.
In a statement sent to members, chief executive Amanda McClelland said Cruiseco, would continue to focus on the Australian and New Zealand markets “where we are strongest”.
“On behalf of myself and the board I would like to thank you for your support and partnership with Cruiseco UK over the past several years and wish you and your business the very best of luck for the future,” added McClelland.
Cruiseco said all existing bookings in place will continue to be managed by Karen Harold, office reservations and customer service manager, until June 12 after which, Lauren Stevens, team leader of special projects will be the point of contact for the UK “until further notice”.
“All calls and emails through our UK members will continue to be serviced as normal to ensure that they are managed efficiently so there is no change in business process or service until we cease operations,” Cruiseco said.
“Reservation support will be available via phone 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday [on] 01926 497 811 or by emailing reservations@cruiseco.co.uk.”
