Cunard hosted a group of Liverpool-based agents at an exclusive exhibition preview at Liverpool’s Victoria Gallery & Museum last week.
Also in attendance were designers from David Collins Studio to reveal the design inspiration behind Queen Anne, and multi-disciplinary design studio, forpeople, who put the final touches on the redesign of the Cunard crest.
Titled Travel in Style – Iconic Cunard Advertising in the 1920s and 1930s, the curated display provides a glimpse of the luxury travel brand’s seafaring heritage.
The exhibition, which is now on public display in Gallery 5 within the VG&M until December, features 14 vintage posters that were used by Cunard to advertise its services alongside associated materials including brochures, menu cards and collectable souvenirs from the era.
Also on display are several pieces that have inspired design choices for public spaces onboard Queen Anne, with the exhibition chronicling the brand’s history in design.
Emma Rogan, senior manager of trade marketing and sales operations at Cunard, said: "We were thrilled to invite some of our travel agent partners to an exclusive behind-the-scenes preview that showcased a selection of Queen Anne’s fascinating design considerations.
"It was a truly enriching experience that really brought to life how our unique heritage is influencing our future, and the feedback we have received from agents has been absolutely wonderful."
